Lavender Spinel

Shown above is a natural lavender-colored spinel from an unknown source. The clarity of this little gem is excellent. The polish and overall symmetry of the gem are very good, but the facet meetpoints are somewhat "off." There is no "window" in this stone, and the overall scintillation is very good. This gem would look great in a pendant, pin, or ring.
Note: Spinel is not normally subjected to any enhancing treatment.
