No. 996: Standard Brilliant Cut, 0.77 cts, SI1, 5.4 x 3.6 mm, $61.60, faceted by Robert Drummond Sold

Shown above is an attractive light-blue sapphire from a famous US gemstone locality. There are some fine needle-like rutile inclusions in this stone, but the clarity is still good. The stone is very well cut and displays fine light return and scintillation. It would look great in a small pendant, pin, or ring.

This sapphire was faceted from gem rough that had been heat treated to improve the color.
