Shown above is a light peach-colored sapphire from Ceylon. Although this is a native cut stone, the faceting is quite good. The proprotions, facet shape, meetpoints and polish, as well as the clarity, are all good. This beautiful little stone would look great in a pendant, pin, or ring.

Note: Sapphire is commonly heat treated to improve both clarity and color. It should be assumed that the above gemstone has been so treated.
