In the last decade Pakistan has produced some exceptionally large gemmy peridot crystals. Like the color of the gemstones shown above, most peridot from this location is a very attractive medium-deep yellowish-green. The cushion cut ovals presented here deliver very good light return and scintillation. The symmetry, facet meets, proportion, and polish for these gems are all very good. Finding well-matched peridot of this outstanding clarity and color is quite difficult. These stones would look exquisite in earrings, or set in a pendant and ring set.
