In the last few years China has begun to produce and export fine peridot gemstones. Chinese peridot of good color and clarity, very similar to the better material from San Carlos, Arizona, is being produced. Shown above is a very well cut gem of excellent scintillation, proportion, polish, and clarity. It is an attractive, uniform, yellowish-green color. This gorgeous peridot would look beautiful in a pendant, pin or ring.
