The Ruby Violet red beryl mine is located in the south-eastern part of Utah, about 25 miles west-southwest of the city of Milford. This is a relatively arid and sparsely populated region of the United States. The arrow marks the location of the open pit mine from which exceptional red beryl crystals are mined from a white volcanic rhyolite host rock. BACK
