Giving the "Estwing Test" to an Olivine Bomb at Kilbourne Hole

KHnodule5

Whack, whack, whack, whack, whack, whack, whooooooaaaaaa. Hey, that's what I'm looking for! Only six hours and about 500 cracked nodules and I have finally found some gem quality peridot. The fragments are "only" three to five carats in size, but they will still cut some nice little stones. And the color isn't that icky olive. It's a nice yellowish-green. This is becoming fun. Don't forget to pick up that neat little piece off the right there.
