Recently, Tajikistan has been producing some very fine heliodor gem rough. Shown above is a beautiful, bright-yellow, heliodor (golden beryl) with hexagonal shape. The Hexabrite Cut, a design by Robert Klein, delivers outstanding light return and scintillation. The faceting on this gem is very fine; the symmetry, facet meets, and polish are all outstanding. This gemstone would make a beautiful centerpiece in a custom necklace, pendant, or occasional-use ring.
