Shown above is a gorgeous, light-colored amethyst from a beautiful locality. The faceting is outstanding; the facet pattern delivers excellent light return and scintillation across the crown of the stone. The gem is moderately color zoned This is only evident when viewed from an angle close to that of the girdle plane. When viewed face-on the stone is a fine uniform light lilac color. This is a large gemstone that would look great as the centerpiece of a pendant.
