Here is a close-up image of a section of specimen #M384. The hessonite (type ?) garnets are a deep brownish-orange. They are randomly scattered across the specimen and cling to the surface of the dark smoky quartz crystals and white feldspar. Their dodecahedral shape and striated surface are beautiful.
